Badger - An Introduction
Saturday, July 22nd, 2006Badgers are short-legged and heavy-set mammals characterized by elongated feet that are more or less plantigrade (heels touch the ground); and straight, strong toes adapted to burrowing. Badgers are social animals, often living in large groups of adults and young. They are nocturnal, which means they usually leave their setts at dusk or later. They emerge cautiously, sniffing and listening for signs of danger.
