Bass - An Introduction
Saturday, July 22nd, 2006This is a common name for many food fishes, but not corresponding to any particular scientific classification. The term encompasses both freshwater and marine species, many of which are native to North America and surrounding waters. Various bass are known by such local names as black, white, or rock bass.
